Cypriots, and their friends will bedemonstrating outside the Turkish Embassy inWashington DC to demand that Turkey¹s brutalthirty-four years of illegal Turkish military invasionand ongoing military-occupation with use of napalm andAmerican-made bombs aircraft and weapons that beganon July 20, 1974, [34 years ago] end now.

The Turkish Government is one of the mostrepressive regimes in the world. Greeks, as well asArmenians and Assyrians are denied basic human rightsincluding the right to freedom of expression andfreedom of religion. Following the early TwentiethCentury Crime of Genocide Against Greeks and Armeniansthe Turkish State has continued its genocidal policiesby targeting Kurdish civilians and villages, denyingGreek and Armenian and Assyrian Genocide , settlingCyprus with illegal Turkish settlers , andperpetrating cultural genocide by destroying OrthodoxChristian Holy sites in Cyprus.
